Gibson L-4 CES Electric Guitar, Mahogany, Vintage Sunburst

Now I couldn’t not include one of the classics here now could I? If money is not an issue and you really know how to look after it, a custom made Gibson is a must!

Now I’m assuming if you have this type of money to spend and you don’t mind waiting a couple of months (it is custom built, hence the wait), you’ll probably go to the store for this. But if this price happens to be the cheapest and you’ve tried it elsewhere – why not! Currently reduced from $6468 to $4599 (29% reduction) this is certainly a real stunner!

Gibson L-4

The Gibson L-4 archtop has a solid carved mahogany back and rims. Measuring 16″ wide, 20″ long and 3-3/8″ deep with a vintage sunburst finish.

Single piece mahogany neck with 24 inch scale length with 20 fret ebony fretboard complete with pearl split parallelogram inlays and single ply binding.

Two’57 Classic humbucking pickups, 2 volume pots,2 tone pots, and a 3-way pickup selector switch. The tailpiece is the iconic L-4 T-shape style and the bridge a hard working ABR-1. The L-4 CES  is shipped wearing L-5 Electric .012 strings and complete with custom shop case and authenticity certificate.

Epiphone PR-5E Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Shadow Preamp, Vintage Sunburst

You have to try one to see why the timeless beauty and great acoustic/electric sound with the exclusive Epiphone multi-band preamp have withstood the test of time.

If you can’t quite run to the more expensive models, the Epiphone PR-5E is a very good option reduced from $548 to $329 now.

Yamaha APX500 OceanBlue

The APX series places emphasis on playability with a stylish thin profile that fits the musicians body. As for cosmetics, the APX500 features a beautiful mother-of-pearl sound hole ring inlay, white fingerboard binding, white/black body binding, mother-of-pearl APX & Yamaha headstock logos and position markers. This model comes in five amazing color variations. The APX500 also features a revamped version of the tried and true System55T. This is a 1-way piezo pickup system that comes with a 3-band EQ and built-in tuner.

You will also find the APX500 in black and dark red. The Blue Burst has a greenish tinge to it and does not come out quite as blue as in the pictures so be aware.

Model gets 5 star reviews for quality, tone and value. Currently at $299.99 from $459.99 so the Yamaha APX500 is an impressive looking and sounding guitar at a good price.
